On June 10, 2003, 28-year-old Stephanie Wasilishin went for a run on a trail near Prescott, Arizona. She never returned. Her body was discovered the next day—she had been sexually assaulted and murdered. Investigators collected DNA evidence, but despite extensive investigation and numerous leads, no one has ever been arrested. Stephanie's family has spent more than 20 years waiting for justice. Her killer is still out there.

On September 24, 1992, 23-year-old Dail Dinwiddie was murdered in her Columbia, South Carolina apartment. She had been sexually assaulted and strangled. The case went cold for 27 years. In 2019, investigators used advanced DNA technology and forensic genealogy to identify the killer: Zachary Bunner. In 2023, he was convicted and sentenced to life in prison. After nearly three decades, Dail's family finally got the justice they had been waiting for.

In Prohibition-era Georgia, John Wallace ruled Coweta County as a ruthless moonshiner and murderer who controlled local law enforcement. In April 1948, Wallace and three accomplices murdered cattle farmer Wilson Turner. But Wallace made a fatal mistake: he dumped the body in Meriwether County, where Sheriff Lamar Potts refused to be intimidated. The investigation and trial that followed exposed decades of corruption and became one of Georgia's most famous murder cases.

In this special revisit episode, Mandy and Melissa return to Gabby Petito's story as part of a domestic violence awareness series. Gabby was murdered by her fiancé Brian Laundrie during a cross-country van trip in 2021. This episode focuses on the red flags in their relationship and includes a special interview with Gabby's mother, Nicole Schmidt, discussing warning signs, resources, and how to talk to children about healthy relationships.

On July 26, 2021, 23-year-old Destiny Chaise McClain was shot and killed outside a nightclub in Phoenix, Arizona. She had been out with friends when shots rang out at a taco truck. Destiny was struck and died from her injuries. Her murder remains unsolved. No arrests have been made. Destiny was bold, hilarious, and deeply loyal to her family—her mother Brenda and sisters Brianna, Essence, and Faith. Her family continues to fight for justice.

On October 12, 1964, Mary Pinchot Meyer was shot execution-style while walking along a canal towpath in Washington, DC. Mary was a socialite with connections to the most powerful people in America—including President John F. Kennedy, with whom she was rumored to have had an affair. Her ex-husband worked for the CIA. Her murder was never solved, fueling decades of conspiracy theories. Was she killed because of what she knew? This is the story of a mysterious death that remains unsolved.

On March 4, 2008, 18-year-old Auburn University student Lauren Burk was found on Highway 147 in Alabama—shot, naked, and dying. She had been forced into her car at gunpoint by Courtney Lockhart, who robbed her, shot her in the back, and pushed her from the moving vehicle. Her car was set on fire. Lockhart was convicted of murder and sentenced to death. Lauren's father, Jim Burk, fought for justice for his daughter. This is the story of a bright young woman whose life was stolen by senseless violence.

Peggy Klinke was a bright, ambitious young woman whose life was tragically cut short by a relentless stalker. Born in Youngstown, Ohio, in 1970, Peggy grew up in a close-knit family with three siblings. Despite her efforts to protect herself, her stalker's obsession escalated to murder. Peggy's death inspired the establishment of National Stalking Awareness Month in January. Her sister Debbie worked with us to share her story and remind us that addressing stalking early can save lives.

On June 1982, 20-year-old Kelly Bergh Dove was working the graveyard shift at a gas station in Harrisonburg, Virginia. At 2:27 AM, she called police to report a suspicious person outside. Minutes later, at 2:30 AM, Kelly was abducted while on the phone with the dispatcher. Her case has remained unsolved for over 40 years. Her body has never been found. Kelly's sister Elaine worked with us to share her story.

Nikki Cheng Saelee McCain was driving on a California freeway when her car's gear shifter snapped. She coasted to the side of the road and vanished. Born in a refugee camp in 1984, Nikki grew up in Sacramento with her six siblings. She was known for her laughter and calm spirit. Her husband has been arrested for her murder, but her body has never been found. Nikki's family worked with us to share her story.

On January 27, 1973, 20-year-old Dawn Magyar was abducted from a Michigan shopping center. She was found murdered on March 4, 1973—raped and shot three times. The case went cold for 28 years until DNA technology identified the killer: Jerald Leroy Wingeart. He was convicted in 2001. This is the story of a young mother whose life was stolen, a massive volunteer search, and the DNA breakthrough that finally brought justice nearly three decades later.

Bob Wykel was an older gentleman known for his kind demeanor. He wore a diamond ring and gold necklace and was described as an "incredible gentleman." But Bob's life was stolen by Myron, someone he thought was a friend. On February 23rd, the two went to look at a Thunderbird in Lakewood, Washington. Bob never made it home. Investigators discovered Myron had killed Bob and stolen his diamond ring. This is the story of a kind man whose trust was betrayed.

In this week's episode, we unravel the tragic story of Jason Bass, a young man fatally stabbed in a Rhode Island road rage incident that quickly turned into a case of mistaken identity.

In September 2020, Andra Adams was tragically killed in Seattle, Washington, after being run over by her boyfriend.  While mounting questions surround her death, no charges have been filed, and her family continues to fight for accountability and answers.

In October 2021, Meghan Kiefer was brutally stabbed 54 times by her ex-boyfriend outside her Long Island home. In May 2023, he was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison after pleading guilty to second-degree murder, following his attempted flight to North Carolina after the crime.

Gabby Petito, a 22-year-old travel blogger, was found murdered in September 2021 after going missing during a cross-country trip with her fiancé, Brian Laundrie. Her death sparked widespread media attention, and Laundrie was later found dead, with authorities concluding he was responsible for her murder. In this episode, the hosts of Moms and Mysteries sit down with Nichole Schmidt, Gabby Petito's mother, to discuss the foundation she and Gabby's family started, the warning signs of unhealthy relationships, the current state of domestic violence worldwide, and essential resources available for victims and survivors.
