Dail Dinwiddie: How DNA Solved a 27-Year-Old Murder
On September 24, 1992, 23-year-old Dail Dinwiddie was murdered in her Columbia, South Carolina apartment. She had been sexually assaulted and strangled. The case went cold for 27 years. In 2019, investigators used advanced DNA technology and forensic genealogy to identify the killer: Zachary Bunner. In 2023, he was convicted and sentenced to life in prison. After nearly three decades, Dail's family finally got the justice they had been waiting for.
The Coweta Case: How a Georgia Sheriff Took Down a Killer
In Prohibition-era Georgia, John Wallace ruled Coweta County as a ruthless moonshiner and murderer who controlled local law enforcement. In April 1948, Wallace and three accomplices murdered cattle farmer Wilson Turner. On July 26, 2021, 23-year-old Destiny Chaise McClain was shot and killed outside a nightclub in Phoenix, Arizona. She had been out with friends when shots rang out at a taco truck. Destiny was struck and died from her injuries. Her murder remains unsolved. No arrests have been made. Destiny was bold, hilarious, and deeply loyal to her family—her mother Brenda and sisters Brianna, Essence, and Faith. Her family continues to fight for justice.

On June 1982, 20-year-old Kelly Bergh Dove was working the graveyard shift at a gas station in Harrisonburg, Virginia. At 2:27 AM, she called police to report a suspicious person outside. Minutes later, at 2:30 AM, Kelly was abducted while on the phone with the dispatcher. Her case has remained unsolved for over 40 years. Her body has never been found. Kelly's sister Elaine worked with us to share her story.

Her husband has been arrested for her murder, but her body has never been found. Nikki's family worked with us to share her story.

The Murder of Emma Compton
Emma Compton, a small business owner from Halifax County, Virginia, was found murdered in 2017 after disappearing under mysterious circumstances and after years of domestic violence at the hands of her husband. Seven years later, her family continues to seek justice, as no arrests have been made in the case, and they remain committed to raising awareness and finding answers for her unresolved murder.
